    Default yayy new equipment

put my order in this morning for the Virtual Energy and Natural...

bowling.com has a special until 6/20 at midnight to where if you buy a $50 gift card u get an extra $5 or with a $100 gift card you get $10 extra... you can buy them and send them to yourself if you want.. you just have to call them after you buy them so the can combine the multiples since you can only use 1 per order..

    they also have coupons..
    thanks5 - $5 off $40+
    thanks10 - $10 off 130+ (i think its 130)
    thanks 15- $15 off $215+ (i think its 215)

all together both balls, free shipping and all cost me $208... not too shabby..lol

    Storm 13,

Let me know how they both perform! I just ordered a "Hy-Road" and will use it on Thursday for the 1st time. My teammates have convinced me into getting a "Vitual Gravity" but I am holding off for now. I really like the Natural as well. I am looking for complete my arsenal. I am switching from Hammer to Storm.

the VG is a really nice ball.. the Hy-road is also a very good ball.. i would say one of the most aggressive mid range balls out... i dont think you will be dissapointed with either.. i have 2 VG and had 2 hyroads but got rid of one.. the hyroad should be able to be played on alot of different conditions.. buttt if you get the VG it will need oil...

as for my furious, i threw it in the 3rd game last night on the pba shark pattern.. it worked like a charm... this is a very aggressive "low end" ball... i think easily the most hook for the $$.. with the current layout the ball is flairing right at 5 inches..

now for the virtual energy and natural.. they are on the FedEx truck out for delivery.... woohoo finally after the wait of the preorder... ill be punching them up tonight and may bowl a game or 2 and if i do ill video them... not sure though because i am trying o nurse a cut middle finger and i have another league tomorrow night..

    Storm 13,

Thanks for your input. I am switching from Hammer to Storm. I am also switching to longer length drilling pattern(color pin above the finger holes) from a stacked or leverage drilling. I am curious as to what adjustments I will have to make on Thursday. I was told this set up would give me a more controllable arc versus a sharp snap on the back end.
I also recently found out that I have been bowling for the past 4 years or so, my thumb hole was drilled with a negative or reverse pitch at 1/2". I have always had a hard time keeping my thumb in the ball because of this and was not able to get the ball out out on the lane since my thumb was coming out too early.
I have since had the problem corrected. I bowled last week with an older ball that was plugged and reslugged with the correct pitch at neutral. I bowled a 651 set (200,193, and 258). It was like bowling with a new ball because it felt different coming off my hand.
