RULES:
1. Please Treat ALL Posters with Respect and Courtesy. No putting anyone down for anything. Questions, posts, ideas, reviews anything - Anyone who is found to be abusive to another member will be banned at the our discretion.
2. Post comments should be relevant to the topic. While it is understood any decent conversation veers off course every now and again. The overall focus of forum posts must remain on the topic under discussion.
3. Please use your signature, but in reason. Please keep the length reasonable and No large pictures in your signature.
4. Keep things public. To make this forum successful please use the pm system for the odd private message.
5. The opinions expressed are those of their respective writers and posters, not BowlingBoards.com, its owner(s) or company.
6. Do not solicit anything via PM (Private Message). If you bother anyone you will be banned and possible civil actions based on severity of solicitations.
7. NO offensive language, this means cursing
8. NO Trolling at all by anyone. Do not post comments which have the sole purpose to cause an argument. You may express your opinion on a topic, however abuse to anyone who doesn't have the same opinion as you will not be tolerated.
9. NO Flaming or posting of material intended to start a flame war. Forum wars are stupid and childish we will not get involved with them.
10. NO arguing too excessively, disagreeing is one thing, but there is a line.
11. Please do not leak out any bowling industry news that is not public already
12. NO advertising at all in any forums other than the marketplace and or with permission from the owner
13. NO Spamming of any type is not allowed. Where as some forums feel the urge to spam their way to the top we feel that only a good honest post makes a forum successful. Any spam will be removed and the offender banned.
14. No Adult Material of any form, This means you must not post any obscene messages or pictures, including pornography or links to said material. Doing so may result in an instant ban.
15. No Posting of Personal Contact Information. This is for your safety, Any public posting of any personal contact information will be removed.
16. NEVER give out any personal data no matter who asks. BowlingBoards.com, its owner(s), and or company will never ask for this, so if someone is stating that they belong to any of the listed categories, it is false and the owner needs to be contacted at webmaster@bowlingboards.com
17. No reproductions or duplications are allowed by any means or by any form without the written expressed consent of the owner of this site
18. USERNAMES. If you are using a USERNAME that contradicts, competes against any aspect regarding this site, you will have to chose another name.
Example:
If you are using a user name stating that you are staff of this site, you will have to change it.
A name such as a competitor site "Sucks" or anything to that degree, will also need to be changed.
Usernames that give the impression that the account has permissions which it does not have.
18a- Multiple Usernames: Some people at bowlingboards choose to have multiple usernames for whatever reason. Because we see some valid reasons for doing so (e.g. a rep for company x who wants to make posts as personal views not associated with the company he/she works for), we do not prevent you from doing so.
But Please note that if a username is created to break the rules of the site or to deceive others by making them think you are another user (e.g. signing up under the name BiGGbowler so people will think you are BigBowler) or make another post seem more legit etc. we will block all of your usernames from this site.
19. Forum moderator(s) are entitled to fully or partially edit or remove any post, and apply restrictive measures on participants.
20. Use the Ignore List. If there are particular members that bother you and you do not want to see their posts or receive Private Messages and Emails from them, then you can add these members to your 'Ignore List'.
21. If you see something offensive. You will find 'Report' links in many places throughout the board. These links allow you to alert the board staff to anything which you find to be offensive, objectionable or illegal.
22. Don't cross post on multiple forums. If you post the same or very similar question in multiple forums, it doesn’t increase your chances of getting help. Most of the forum community that regularly respond to help requests use the “What’s New?” link near the top of the forums. We see your post no matter what forum you put it in, So please don't cross post on multiple forums.
If any of these rules are broken, please click the Report Post button to let the correct people know what is going on.
A three strike system is in effect for any user failing to fully comply with the rules:
First Offense: A warning. (Additional warns may be issued at the discretion of the Admin/Mod.)
Second Offense: Suspended from the forum for 1 week
Third Offense: A permanent ban.
In severe cases the offender may be banned before making 3 offenses.
Admin And Mod jobs. Please do not ask to be an Admin or Mod, if and when we need to recruit someone we will let you know.
Complaints. We take pride in our forum however there may be times where some of our members may feel upset. If this is the case please send the Admin/Mod. a pm clearly stated what you are upset about ,, if you can take a screen shot to back up your claim then please do. Anyone found to be abusing the complaints system will be removed from the forum.
***These rules are subject to change at any time without any notice***
Final Note
These rules are here to make this forum the best it can be. And really they are not complex, nor hard to follow. Really they are quite simple. Many people would never do these things anyways.
If we all work together, BowlingBoards.com will be the best forum it can be.
