Smile When should I buy a bowling ball?

Ya like I said I'm a newbie. I still don't know what size ball is right for me. I've only started to bowl this week and I don't know when to buy a ball? How can I know which size is right when I pick up one of the house balls at the alley?

Ditto what Mr. Bill said. Usually (not always) the ball/bag/shoe deal for 100-120 will include drilling, and when you get a ball fit for your hand, you won't really feel like going back to the house balls w/their generic drillings. One thing, if you get the ball drilled with conventional grips, the ball will feel heavier than what it is. If you get it drilled fingertip, it'll feel lighter than what it is. Reason being is that you're using more of your hand to hold the ball when you do fingertip vs. conventional grip.
