Social Networking Information

If you are like millions of other people you have some sort of profile on some sort of social networking site.

So now you have the ability to add your profile here on BowlingBoards.com

So if you have any or all of these accounts you can add them:

MySpace
FaceBook
Twitter
YouTube

and more to come

This is not mandatory. You can access this via your USER CP and then click Edit Details

For an example when you log into your facebook account, look up at the Browser Url Box, you should see a long string of numbers. This is your id. PLEASE NOT THAT IT IS NOT THE WHOLE URL...JUST THE NUMBER OR NAME

For myspace it can be the same as facebook or like for us its BowlingBoards is our profile id

Twitter, same thing, whatever your Twitter Name is, will be what you enter,

and lastly and the best, YouTube. Basically the same. Whatever your profile name is like YouTube.com/bowlingboards

But what makes this nice is if you do any bowling video reviews, or need critique on your bowling game, you can direct people to click on your YouTube Icon.

Which beings me to the icons.

When you add your Profile ID numbers or names in the designated areas of your "Edit Details" page, you will see a new Icon under your profile name in every post that you create. So everyone will be able to see it.

Thus again making it easier for people to talk, and view things such as YouTube videos of your bowling.

BUT... if you do not want a person looking at anything personal that you have on any of these accounts, DON"T ADD YOUR ID! SImple as that.

Ok well we are adding new ranks to the great site we call BowlingBoards.com

When you view your posts, you will see your status and a bowling pin.

The bowling pin represents your reputation and posts on BowlingBoards.com

In order to reduce spam and signature abuse, the first 30 posts are like a try out session for you to see if you like the site. If so 29 posts go by fast. By just saying hello to a few people you will rack up 10 to 20 posts.

After that it is smooth sailing. You can use the chat system, have a signature, and more.

If you have any problems with the new system or do not want to participate, let me know.

The order is as followed:

0 to 9 What is Bowling?

10 Member( Your are now an official member with new privileges like signatures, and chat room/box)

100 Bowler

200 Sandbagger

300 Ringer

700 Cranker

1000 Pin Crusher

1500 High Roller

2000 All Star

3000 Bowling Guru

5000 Bowling God


With each level your reputation on this site goes up.

Chat Room / Box

As you search around the site you should now see a chat box. This is for you to ask questions, talk with others bowlers, and hang out.

It is free and easy to use, just start typing. If you cannot see the chat box, it could be for a few different reasons.

You are a guest
You are not logged in
You have a banned member status
Or you have not reached a member level of 30 posts

It is very easy to get 30 posts and then you can chat away, use signatures and more.

Let me know if you need any help.

And if you see any abuse, please let me or any other moderator know.

We are combining a few things and separating others to make the site flow better.

Well after many member requests, you can now show in every post your Real Name and your Bowling Average.

If you do not want people to know your real name, please leave the box blank. Same with your bowling average.

You can edit this information in your USER CP area and under Edit Details.
