Sorry to hear that. That is a pretty bad place to be injured pretty much no matter what. I believe Stormed1 has an injury in the same place, he could tell you a lot about it as he's dealt with it for 6-7 years if I'm not mistaken.

I understand your frustrtion withthe injury. My actual problem is with an ulcer on the bottom of the foot.Because of the disease associated with the foot problem (Charcot) my foot was a rocker foor. They did surgery to lengthen my achelies tendon. Recovery from that was only a few weeks. Yours is much more serious that my surgery. All I can say is do what the dr says and don't rush yourself to get back as you will risk a much more serious injury if you return to soon. My prayers are with you for a speedy recovery. BTW even when you start feeling good keep doing the exercises they suggest, theirs a s reason for them
Still love the game but had to quit because of my left leg amptation

I know the meaning of pain and recovery. Stormed1 is right, keep up the exercise and don't give up.Good luck on your journey back to good health and being able to bowl again.

I can relate to your situation and wish you the very best. Many years ago I messed up my ankle and can still remember the therapy. Just do what the DR. says and don't get in any hurry and you'll do just fine. good luck Bill
