NO OCTOBER BOWLER OF THE MONTH NAMED
Lack of Higher Profile Events Cited

ARLINGTON, Texas - The Bowling Writers Association of America Bowler of the Month Committee has voted not to award the Kegel Bowler of the Month for October 2009. The award is chosen based on performances by American bowlers on either a national or international level during a given month.

BWAA committee chair Mark London said it was the committee's decision saying, "They voted by a 2-to-1 margin to hold off naming a bowler of the month for October due to the lack of higher profile events." London added, "It's the first time in recent memory we've done this, but we look forward to resuming the process in November."
