Thread: First tourney for my wife

Default First tourney for my wife

Took my wife and her brand new ball to a 9-pin tonight. She didn't do badly, a 333 series. For someone who doesn't bowl, not bad. She kept trying my Hammer Venom and Hot Sauce, then would go back to her Ebonite Maxim. When she hit the marks I suggested and followed-thru with the Venom, she got some nice pocket hits.

Best of all, we had a good time together, and bowled with some nice folks from town. All in all, a good night. Hopefully we will find a mixed league to bowl in sometime soon.

Sandwich is an awesome name for a city.

How'd you do in the tourney?

Eh, I did better in the first squad with a 600. Last night I bowled a miserable 522. To crack 800 and make the leaderboard, in the third game I needed a 301. LOL Had a couple ugly splits that essentially ended my night. I'm not worried, this tourney is combined with a Thanksgiving and Valentine's 9-pin, and top-20 scorers in each make the top-60 tourney in the late spring; I already qualified for that at Thanksgiving. Last night was more to go with the wife.

Excellent performance. A few pointers and her own equipment and magical things can happen.

My wife and I love to bowl together. It's part of our lives.

We must be into b's. Bowling and the Beatles. LOL! We got a "Let It Be" skin for the new laptop to take with on our bowling vacation in North Carolina in July.

Are you bowling 9-pin or 9-pin no tap? There's a big difference.

Sorry I missed this, it was a 9pin no tap. Sorry for the confusion.
