My first 200+ game!

I just can't win, lol. I was practicing last Tuesday using my Tropical Storm and bowled my first 200+ (206) game . EVER! Sad thing is, that since it's practice, it doesn't count. The lane was perfect! I'd say it was a medium oil lane. Then I bowled on league night last Thursday and only got a 150 high game. The lanes had so much oil on them that I could have changed the oil in my car with it. I got little to no hook with my Tropical Storm. I think I need to get a ball for heavy oil. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated. My arsenal consists of a 15 lb Tropical Storm and a 15 lb Columbia 300 plastic.

You've got a lot of room to ball up. I think the Storm Furious would be a great ball, or a Columbia Noize. Other brands, maybe a Brunswick Diamondback, AMF Clutch, or Hammer Acid/Jacked. I wouldn't get balls any stronger than this since the Tropical isn't THAT strong. So these are definitely improvements

I would look at the Furious also, stronger core and cover than your Tropical. Ball comes with a more agressive cover material and finish. It also has a good dynamic core and would be a step up at a good peice. Freeze wpi;d work too but would probably need the surface adjusted.Another possability wold be an Avalance solid with a surface adjustment.

I'd recomend the Hammer Acid/Jacked, very good ball.
