    Default For League meetings

    Here is League Information /Talking points that was giving to us here in phoenix and I hope it helps any League meetings that has not happened yet

    1. Membership fees - no changes.
    a. Standard Membership - $18.00;
    b. Out of State Transfers - $8.00;
    c. In state (Mesa, Tucson, etc.) $7.00;
    d. Sport $33.00 (includes Standard card);
    e. Upgrade to Sport if bowler already has Standard card - $15.00

    2. Award forms -
    a. Changes - No 300/800 watch; others the same
    b. Complete forms - need all information to process the awards
    c. Honor scores - no m/f awards, only different styles
    d. Secretaries please discard all old forms - use new ones.

    3. Membership cards
    a. Complete info, esp. league name. Need birthdates as only way to distinguish bowlers w/ same name
    b. Credit Cards no longer accepted - only online through bowl.com

    4. BVL
    a. Dates - October 11-31
    b. Finals - November 2nd at AMF Squaw Peak
    i. Bowl-a-thon w/ celebrities
    ii. Finals for house winners

    5. Why be a USBC member
    a. Awards - honor scores, achievement
    b. Standardized rules and regulations
    c. Receive a subscription to US BOWLER
    d. Establish an official bowling average only through USBC certified leagues
    e. Bonding - Things happen so this covers you in case the league money is stolen. For example, we had a secretary held up this summer on the way home from the bank with the league prize money. That is why it is important that the league application is submitted promptly. Think of it as an insurance policy.
    f. Tournaments - local and national

    6. Remind the League Prize Fund committee that the prize fund must be presented and voted on by the 5th week of league.
