    Default practice tape on ball

where do you apply tape on a ball to see the reaction that's taking place during practice?

The most common place is placing a dot/X of tape on your P.A.P. (Positive Axis Point)

Next is a strip of tape (about 4-5") running away from the P.A.P. This is to help count ball revolutions (best with a video camera, so you can slo-mo it)

    Side note:
Most bowlers don't realize when they hear they or another bowler has say 400 Rev's (RPM). That the ball doesn't actually revolve 400 times from foul line to pins.
RPM's are "revolutions per minute" it only takes a ball approx. 2-3 "seconds" to get down the lane. So a 400 rpm ball will only make about 12-18 revolutions before it hits the pins depending on the speed. That's why speed and rev's need to match up right

Next is a strip of tape that runs parallel to your initial track or a small strip just above & parallel to your finger holes. ( there was a old ball that had this made in it. A row of three white dots above the fingers)

there are two other main axis points but nobody use's them except for demo purposes. one is the axis for when the ball is in a roll, the other is a mid point axis for when the ball starts to hook.
