AWESOME news from the doctor today

Well i had my normal 2 week visit to my podiatrist today. He in formed me that after 6 yrs 10 months and 10 days including 2 surgeries the hole in the bottom of my foot is now closed. He sent a fax to the place that does orthopedic shoes a script for custom shoes so i will not have to be in the boot/cast to walk. I will have to be in the boot if i'm going to be on my fet for long periods of time but i can live with that. Most important to me is things like being able to take a shower without having to put 3 bags on my foot to keep it from getting wet and exposing the ulcer to bacteria in the shower. Being ablo to go swiming in a pool or lake. All those little things we take for granted. Plus i'll get a bowling shoe for my right foot
