    Default Help

Alright so here was my problem:
I'm using conventional grip at the moment. It's 11 lb, and I'm 16 years old. I can hold it pretty easy. I hold the ball to the 2nd joint, and I throw it , like once the ball get to the spot of my knee, I throw it at least 20+MPH. Considering the speed, I couldn't control it. My coach says I have to slow down, which I did. My speed went to 18MPH. I also moved spots from the 2nd dot to the right from the center dot. I bowl straight into the 1-3 Pocket. But sometimes, it bowls straight. When I aim my thumb, like he said, on the arrow, it goes immediately into the gutter on the brooklyn side. So what's the problem here?

I'm thinking that maybe your ball is too lite?
If your ball is too lite, it is possible to hold on to it a little bit too long and miss your target left (for rightie's).
Maybe try moving up to 14lb ball?

When you say your bowling "straight" do you mean spare ball straight? Or WRW Jr straight?
