Default Cleaning advice for urethane ball

    Hi,

I'm really sorry if this has already been covered but I'm new to the site and I haven't got the time to check through the other posts...

I've been told that using soapy water is enough to maintain a urethane ball. Literally, all I've been doing is dipping a small hand towel in warm soapy water and using that to (especially the track/oil rings) wipe/scrub the ball.

Is that going to be enough to maintain the ball?

    Any advice is greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

    Default cleaning

Rubbing alcohol. Like you get from a drug store. Oops your from UK. Chemist or apothecary. Works as good and cheaper than ball cleaners from the proshop.

Some people believe that rubbing alcohol is harmful to the bowling ball. I have written a full bowling ball maintenance guide at http://bowlingballdb.com/Maintenance.html
. This should cover all your bases. This in a nutshell says to use some kind of cleaner at after every few games and for a deep cleaning put the ball in hot soapy water for awhile then dry it off.

    Hope this helps
    -Chris
