    Default Pearl coverstock?

What does it mean when a coverstock is pearlized? I googled this, but did not find any info on what it realy means.. Is it the composition of the coverstock and/or the finish on the coverstock that make it a pearl?

It is pearlized because of addatives used in the construction of the coverstock. The pearl helps make the cover a little "harder" or less pourous to create more skid and store more energy to create sharper break point angles. The "pretty" appearance is just a bonus
Still love the game but had to quit because of my left leg amptation

I use pearlised equipment a lot. It helps me get through the heads easier.(The first 15 feet of the lane.) I can save the energy for the backend. When a ball is dull, it usually will create more friction and use energy in the midlane.
