    Default Need help on my 5 step approach and slip!

    To tell you the truth, your approach and swing are pretty good! I have given a lot of advice to beginners on this site, and you are by far the best for still calling yourself a beginner. Your steps are evenly paced, you bend your knees, you follow through well. Truthfully, practice is what you will need the most. The one thing I do notice though, is that your arm is bent at the elbow just a little bit in your back swing. That really is a very common thing for people to do to increase their hook, but it creates inconsistency in your arm motion. You will want to work on keeping your hand a little farther behind the ball too. You want to create a solid roll on the ball, and the farther behind the ball you are in your swing, the more room is left for your hand to rotate and create that roll. Good luck and good bowling!
