slide,hook and roll

i have my pap marked with a piece of tape to see how i am rolling the ball. i read an article about how the ball should react and it says that the ball should slide,hook and then roll. i noticed by the pap mark on my ball that i can see the ball going in an arc and i see the tape all the way into the pocket (with no ball slide from release just hooking) and then just before the pocket,it rolls heavy into the pocket ,which i thought was good as far as ball reaction. am i fair to say that , is that a form of cranking the ball too much or is that a good working ball? i seem to be a little confused about the roll of a ball now. thanks for a responce.

Heres what I've seen when I've done the tape.

When you watch your tape during the skid phase, the dot of tape should look just like that a dot. Your pap will be just a steady dot for about say 30 feet down the lane on the ball.
(This is where you can determine your tilt and rotation also)

When it starts getting some friction and goes into the hook phase. You should see the tape start "wobbling" spiraling out from where it was.

The roll is when the tape stops wobbling and spiraling out and The ball has gotten into a even roll.
