Thread: Thumb and relaxed hand???

    Default Thumb and relaxed hand???

Any tips on relaxing your hand when it just won't cooperate?
I've been told to keep your thumb straight. When I do it, it doesn't touch any part of the wall of the thumb hole. Is this correct?

It is possible that your thumb pitch isn't right for your hand. If you keep your thumb straight, you should still be able to grip the ball with the inside of your thumb. If your thumb isn't touching any wall of the hole, then not only is your thumb hole probably too big, but also should have farther away pitch. Explain your problem to your local pro shop person. They should be able to come up with a solution.
