Ball given to me for christmas, what is it?

i was given a ball for Christmas and it is a columbia 300 but that is all it says. this ball is like a dark purple or maybe a really dark red im not sure it is a odd color, but it is defiantly an old ball. if anyone knows or has any clue what is it, please let me know ,

I'm Guessing its a Yellow Dot. If I'm right it has a plastic cover stock, as does the White dot that is still available new, but is slightly softer and therefore has a bit more hook than the WD

Yep thats just a yellow dot plastic ball drilled straight up. Makes a good spareball.
