    Default weight block reaction.....

during the transition (slide, hook and roll) of the ball going down the lane, i am wondering about what the weight block....(as to what it is doing and how it is re-acting) as this is going on with the ball from the beginning till the end as it hits the pins ? are there any diagrams as to what is taking place? it seems like the more i read, watch and listen, the better i understand the game and score better so that is why i ask some of these questions and turn to you good bowlers for the answers.

This is from a site that no longer is, but can be found using the wayback machine.

This video shows how the weight block moves as the ball goes down the lane .(would have been nice if he had marked the pap.

This short clip shows a clear plastic Ebonite Werewolf. The Weight Block is indicated by a white line. You can clearly see the weight block rotating around the axis then levelling out as the ball hooks on the back end and rolls into the pin.
