Innovative Ball Spinners -- they give GREAT customer service.
When my new spinner arrived I was thrilled and started reading the manual and then watched the training DVD -- lots of great info and perspective on using the spinner.
The weekend finally arrived and I whipped out to buy some wet-dry sandpaper and a storage tub to hold the spinner -- only to find there was shipping damage to the nylon base -- cracks that weren't easily visible before.
Bummed, I call the 800 number, described my problem and waited for the argument.
No argument.
Just great service and instant satisfaction -- new spinner is on the way!! Wow.
Meantime, I actually used the damaged spinner -- carefully and with permission from the folks at Innovative -- to begin learning the technique for sanding ball surfaces.
If you are considering a spinner purchase, I have to say these folks seem genuine and trustworthy.

After I didn't win one on the Let's Go Bowling show I decided to get one as my Christmas present. The shipped it out super fast and I got it before I got the shipping notification. I've used the starter kit that came with it and have been very satisfied. My only gripe is that it forces you to use your right hand for sanding, polishing, etc. and I'm left handed. I'd like it to have a reverse switch, or come in a left handed model.

I've used innovative for years they are great! Sent me a replacement part for the first one I had (and still have, a small table top model) for free and my tub spinner is fantastic.

Kev you could use your left hand just watch it, the paper will cut faster and deeper with the ball turning into it.

I could also hold my left hand upside down, I guess. Going against the rotation is way too hard to control. To fix it I wouldn't have any coverstock left.

OH ... I need to add that the instructional booklet and DVD that came with the Innovative spinner really helped me understand more about what I can control with ball surface and my particular bowling style. Very good insight and understandable by a beginner. Now ... if I could just convince my local bowling center to let me bring my spinner with me -- save me a lot of back-and-forth trips to the house while I'm experimenting.

I resurfaced two of my balls today, the Slingshot and my Lanebreaker. To this point I've just been cleaning and touching up the surfaces. Boy, did I kick up some dust. I had wear spots where they landed on the lanes and a lot of surface scratches. Now they look a lot like when they were new. I'll have to wait until Tuesday to see how well I did, though.

I still have the Innovative spinner i bought when i opened my shop in 1997. Still works great and the only thing i've had to do with it over the years is clean it every so ofter and replace the rubber ring when it wears out. As a side note i i use it on all polished new balls to "re-do" the surface before i throw them. I put the original surface on the ball so that i can duplicate the reaction at a later date when i refresh the surface

I was very happy with my results on the Slingshot, but I put too much of a shine on the Lanebreaker. I'll knock it down this weekend.

Yes! My pro shop did a plug and drill for me and as a courtesy they also did the oil-removal oven treatment and returned the ball to original factory surface. I tried it once, just out of curiosity, but then returned the ball to a surface I can duplicate later.
