Default Great quote about lane conditions

This was a pretty good quote I think about lane conditions.

"The sport of bowling is about who is able to adjust, and then how accurately they can execute their shot. The
team across from you has the same condition as you. If you want to win; learn, practice, and adjust, otherwise rolling the ball is like rolling the dice."
This came from a letter from a house that changed the lane conditions, explaining why they changed to Kegels Middle Road pattern from old THS.

    You can read it here:

That is perfect. I can not explain how many people I hear every league night about the shot being harder than normal. Duh, it is not normal anymore. We just had all new lanes put in, and a heavier oil pattern. Those who shoot the same line over and over and can not figure out why they are coming up light or going through the nose with every ball.

Learn how to adjust. Move back, move up, move left, more right. Change ball speed, change your revs........do what ever it takes to find YOUR line.

They will not notice that drastic of a reduction in scores. They use the Middle of the Road
for our men's state tournament. The scores are still high.

Now that letter was from 2008 when they went to Mid. of the road.

Now Heres another letter from this place 2009, Looks like they walled the shot back up though. Judging from the computer print out of the new shot.

At least they are informing the bowlers what they are doing. I wish every lane did that.

Agreed. I couldn't tell you how many times I've heard people complain about "tough" lane conditions when they fail to realize that they're bowling on the some of the easiest shots you can put down. People just aren't ready to drop their egos.
