    Talking The big lebowski

Tomorrow is "the day of the dude" in honor of the release of The Big Lebowski on Mar. 6, 1998. The recommended means of celebrating is to screen the film and have a bowling party. I think we'll just play bowling video games instead of going to a center.

I've got a Big Lebowski calendar. This month it's Jesus giving his ball a little lick.

Please tell me what makes The Big Lebowski a better movie than Kingpin? I've seen Kingpin 6 or 7 times and never get tired of it, and I've never been able to watch Lebowski all the way through, for some reason. What am I missing?

It's a different kind of humor. The funny lines are not as blatant. You either get it or you don't. It's kind of like the same thing with British comedy, you either love it or you don't.

" Mark that frame an 8 you're entering a world of pain." It's also a little like Napoleon Dynamite.

For some reason I just could not get into this movie, I like KingPin much better.
