Hey All - Bowler with intereting story (for me anyway)
Hey all,
Just recently came across this site...been bowling for 15-20 years now, slowly working on increasing my average still (now around 185-190).
I'm a lefty bowler, short backswing, typically throw the ball around the 9-10 board at 13.5 - 14MPH, so not too much power or a rev rate
Well, recently had surgery on my wrist at the beginning of March (shortening of one of the bones), now working in strengthening the wrist up again. Have gone bowling 3 times the past 2 weeks (finally got released to bowl again) with a 117, 191, then Wednesday had a 236...starting to get back into the swing of things.
Had my very first clean series (and highest series of a 717) the Friday before my surgery (surgery was on a Monday). Had people in the league ask me "are you sure you want to have that surgery?"
Have never had a 300 game yet either.....furthest I have ever been was the front 9, then pulled the ball inside both times. Both of these ere in back-to-back weeks and in the 2nd game also. Would have been an amazing story if the first one I ended up with a 300, as my dad rolled his first 300 game 2 days beforehand. Father-son bowling first 300 games within 2 days of each other? yeah, sounds like a good story to me
sadly it didn't happen
