I have no idea what you're talking about.
the bowling ball is suppose to slide, hook and then roll down the alley into the pocket. how many of you bowlers do that? i use to start roliing the ball as soon as i would release it for revs but now i am having a tendency to slide, hook and roll now. which do you all prefer?

Ball Dynamics and Hook Potential
When watching a bowling ball roll down the lane, it is easy to overlook the forces at work within the ball. The ball is round, and the bowler imparts revolutions, axis rotation, axis tilt and ball speed. The round ball undergoes a transition from to skid to hook to forward roll
Slide isn't necessarily about the ball not reving at all in the front part of the lane. It's just fewer revs, which has to do with the fact that there's a lot more oil in the front part of the lane than anywhere else, as well as the fronts being a harder wood.
People tend to forget that how a ball gets to the "hook" stage is that it slows down. When the ball speed and rev rate match is when it enters that phase of its ball motion. ALL balls go through the phases in the skid/hook/roll order. Release and layout alond with the oil pattern effect when these phases occur but not the order
Still love the game but had to quit because of my left leg amptation
