    Default Hello from Pennsylvania

    Hello All,

I'm 21 years old and currently live in Central Pennsylvania. I grew up with YABA (Young American Bowling Alliance for those who might not know) until it became part of the USBC youth program. I have bowled in youth leagues since I was 6 years old. When I turned 18 I started bowling in a local Adult league and have gone to the Pennsylvania Open State Championship with that team the last two years. I generally average between 175-185 on house shots and haven't experimented much with sport or PBA shots.

Currently my go to ball is a 15lb Motiv GT1, but my arsenal also consists of a Storm Screamin' Banshee, Brunswick Ultimate Inferno, and Ebonite Total NV all of which are 15lbs. I hope to learn about some tournaments here and be able to improve average a little or at least hold it in the upper 180's. My overall goal for the year is to throw a 700 series as it is a feat that has managed to escape me all this time. I'd also like to learn a little more about the technical side of things because I more or less need to go by recommendations of others when looking for a new bowling ball.

Welcome to the site. Being the imediate past president of the PA state association, I'm glad to hear you participate in the State Tournaments and ask that you encourage others to also.

You will find this a great resource to answer any and all questions you have about the sport.
