I'm working on a song list for a segment in a corporate holiday party.
Audience will likely include folks ranging in age from Baby Boom to Gen X.
Format is to have maybe three songs, then a hula dance, then one final song.
Thoughts include: sing-a-long numbers, G- or PG-rated humor and nothing seriously melancholy.
And I don't want to do traditional Hawaiian songs ... rather play up the fun/humor aspects. (Tiny cowboy hats if we do a Country-Western number, dark shades if we go Blues Brothers, etc.)
What say?? Any other ukulele wannabes out there in bowling land?![]()

I think "May The Bird Of Paradise" by Little Jimmy Dickens would be funny.
My new CD, 'What I'm Made Of' is available now at www.dustinseymour.com, iTunes, Amazon and more!
I'm a bowler and a musician. I have a strong love for both. www.facebook.com/dustinseymourmusic

NOW you're getting it. I've been checking out YouTube vids of the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain -- great stuff!
There's this guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snPQ1z5FoqQ He's really good. John Prine is going to appear in our area and I'm really tempted to go. I have the clear green 45 of "Let's Talk Dirty in Hawaiian."
This song was really played on an Hawaiian ukulele by IZ, an Hawaiian native. Went platinum after his death. This song is awesome, it is a medley of two very well known songs. JUST AWESOME.
