What is Bowling?
Brunswick slingshot drilling?
Hey guys this is my first post and i'm fairly new to bowling. I usually average a 130-140 with a highest game of 186. I currently own an old brunswick rubber ball, i believe it is. My bowling style is a shoveler i believe it's called? I don't use my thumb at all and i can usually get a good spin with an average speed of 19-21mph. Since i like my balls to curve (please no jokes here) I decided on a medium reactive ball. I've seen different ways to drill the finger holes. However I don't understand all the numbers and degree angles etc. So in order for myself to get a medium hook at the later part of the lane how should this be drilled?

Pretty sure I'm correct in saying the Slingshot's core is symmetrical. In which case the Basic Symmetrical Drilling Instructions can be followed. You'll find them listed towards the bottom of this page - http://www.bowlingball.com/info/brun...ng-layout.html .
Looking for them on the Brunswick site is usually futile, as for some reason only known to Brunswick they restrict drilling layouts to registered pro-shops only. Most other manufacturers openly publish them.

The driller would probably help. I think for your style and the type of ball, you might just want to drill it pin up.
