    Default New Ball

I'm a high school student and I'm on my high school team. I just ordered the storm frantic bowling ball today for my new ball. My team is on two leagues and one of the leagues has a bunch of houses that have high oil patterns. I have a hard time with more oil so that's why I'm getting the new ball. I was wondering if anybody has used the frantic or knows anything about it.

I'll be corrected if I'm wrong I'm sure but the Frantic seems to like medium oil patterns as opposed to truly heavy. That said it all depends on your style. Slower speed or uber high revs and it'll still hook like a beast even on heavy oil. Also if you've been using something 'weaker' or a non-reactive ball it's probably
    a huge step-up from that.

Don't get me wrong. It's a great ball and I know there are a few people on here who love it and/or use it as a benchmark ball. It sounds like it's definitely stronger than your old ball so I'm sure you'll be fine.

If you get a chance let use know how you get on with it by maybe posting a video? Always interesting to see how a ball reacts to different styles and oil patterns.

A quick edit to add...I still love the colors of the ball. Also...http://www.bowlingball.com/products/...FcZM4AodIWXsBA has a good video of it performing on a typical house shot. More than strong enough under those conditions with even Curlie getting a little more movement than he does with some balls.

You are correct Tony the frantic is more for medium oil lanes but as you have already said
it depends on the one throwing it as to their speed and the revs they have and the amount
of oil that is applied to the lanes.
