Default Anyone here own a Frantic?

I'm looking to buy a Storm Frantic ball and was wondering if anyone here owns one. If so, what drill pattern do you recommend for me being a 145 League avg. player who has only seriously been bowling for about a year now and who hooks the ball a little but is generally try to improve my hook potential.

I do. The ball is awesome. A great layout on any Storm ball where you're looking to get the most out of the ball is the 4x4x2 layout. It's a great all around layout.

I agree the frantic is a great ball! I think a 4X4 may be a bit aggresive though. I would go with a 4.5X5.5X2.5 to keep a smoother ball roll, and less jumpy off the end of the pattern. I have drilled and seen a bunch of layouts on that ball, and all of them look good on the lane. I personally use a 5X4.5X2.5 and LOVE it. I have multiple 260+ games with it already. In fact, I shot a 267 and 269 with it last night in league. At only $154.95 retail, it is a STEAL!

I just can't get over the Frantic's appearance. Would love if they released the Red/Black one in the US instead of internationally. Will definitely be keeping an eye on when the accompanying solid is released...

The accompanying solid of the Frantic is the 2 Furious.

Huh. So the Frantic is the Hybrid between the 2Fast and 2Furious. Interesting. Odd departure from the typical nomenclature.

They did the same thing with the T-road solid, T-road Pearl, and then the Hy-Road.

That's true, I guess I expected something named somewhat similarly (ie, all the "roads")... but I guess I don't remember there being a hybrid in the hot line recently. Would have loved a street rod hybrid, those 2 balls were fantastic.
