So...bowling with a migraine on oddly difficult lanes (averages were down 10-15 pins for most people tonight, so something screwy happened with the oiling) = really nasty scoring.

Thankfully I only get them a couple of times a year and the 4 or 5 painkillers takes the edge off :P Slightly annoyed with myself for not adjusting better to the conditions (should have taken a more inside line but didn't) but the migraine was probably the biggest culprit.

Oddly enough, this happened on my Monday night league a few weeks back. The explanation was that the oil machine was clogged, which obviously, there is no way of knowing until you throw a ball on it. End result was a pair that was stripped and cleaned, but not oiled. Made for an interesting time, especially when your spare (plastic) ball is jumping left before the arrows. I think I finished with a 428 that night, lowest series since I can remember. My, how the beers flowed that night...
