    Default Mental exorcise HELP

    Hi

    I'm having trouble on the mental plan when I play league matches and tournaments, i'm getting so nervous and starts shaking when I have to take the important shots.
    So is there anyone who haves some good exorcises I can use in the matches and tournaments?

    I would be happy if someone had something in mind that maybe could help me and my game.

    Try some yoga techniques. Deep breaths (in the nose - out the mouth), close your mind to your surrounding, and think about your shot. Visualize making the shot - consentrate on your target. Take your time setting up, and just go for it.

    Take a piece of tape and write something posotive like Calm down, Think about your shot, relax and just do it, just remember it's just like your first shot nothing different, same shot as the rest.

    Having a good preshot routine will help you focus and stay calm.

    I go through a mental check list while looking at mark. Basically I tell myself:

    Hit your mark
    Stay with the shot
    Follow through

    Hit your mark = reminds me that I concentrate on the mark
    Stay with the shot = reminds me to watch the ball roll over the mark. Do not look up until that ball is pass the mark.
    Follow through = means lift the ball and pose as if you are on TV.

    Well nothing replaces the real thing and everyone has given good tips on how to prepare for it, but, in my opinion, the best way to overcome this is just get comfortable in that situation. The best way to do that is to, of course, be in that situation a lot. I play video games (Halo) competitively and during important games I've learn to just calm down and think of it as practice. I don't know if this will help, but while in the situation, make yourself as comfortable as possible so you can shoot like you do in practice.

    one thing that i do too keep my self under controll and stop from shaking is do your deep breaths like dave sead in your noise and out your mouth but also at the same time imagine there is noone around you and your bowling for fun dont think of the score your on your own and if you do this nothign distaces you and nothing will pop into your head like i need this to win or something like that if you keep your mind clear and just focus on your spot but dont say nothing about your spot cause u will miss that sometimes soo another way is have a friend say something to you like if you dont keep your balance we will shave half of your hair off your head or leg to make you balanced then u focus on that and not messing up this stuff works just shot a 224-231-202 in leauge it helps and keeps you happy and having fun
