    Default hand position question

i have been holding my ball in my palm with my thumb pointing around 3 o'clock standing anywhere between 20-25 and sometimes more to the left and playing around 10-20 depending on conditions and getting real good rotation on the ball. my problem is: lately i have been having to move right with my feet (@ 15 and sometimes a little more due to conditions) playing anywhere around 5 or so but not getting the rotation that i expect.the question: should i be rotating my thumb(hand) more arund the ball to say @11-2 on the clock face instead of my usual 3-4 o'clock to make the ball rotate? i've been laboring lately and just sitting here pondering that thought. like i said before , it's new to me to have to move that far right. any thoughts would be helpfull .

Your thumb should be pointing at about 11p.m. when you release.
I hold the ball flat (facing the ceiling) through the forward swing until about my ankles when I rapidly rotate my hand around the ball and release with the hand at (or just before) about the handshake position.
Another way to get the rotation is to angle your hand to the left (if you are a righty) and hold that until you come around the ball. To illustrate better, hold your hand in front of you and just tilt it at the wrist to the left. The more "tilt" you use, the more lift you achieve.
Just watch you don't start "chicken winging" it.
