I usually like more toward the pins, but my game is growing/changing so who knows how it will be in the future
Closer to the Foul line.
Closer to the Pins.
I don't know.
In a article titled "The Long and the Short of it", The WTBA Technical Committee had seperated bowlers into two groups.
Bowlers who style prefers a breakpoint closer to the foul line and those who prefer a breakpoint closer to the pins.
Which are you?.

I seem to do better if I can play around 5 or six. So I vote for short.

Funny this comes up - last night during league, the middle of the lane was kind of sloppy, forcing people to play out at 4-6. So, I think my scores show that I definitely prefer playing closer to the pins.

I've bowled more on short patterns in the last few years, so I have a comfort level there. I bowled mostly on longer patterns as I was learning to bowl. It would be a matter of matching up equipment to that shot if I were to bowl on longer patterns again.
