    Default VG Nano Question

I am a 16 year old bowler with low revs and i average 204. The problem i have with my nano is it just does not hook. I have tried many different things like changing the surface. This ball was purchased used but it was only used for several games. Please respond to what i can do.

Looking at the picture, it looks pretty dull and you say you have low revs. So possiblity is its burning up, the nano is a strong ball. The oob is 4000 abralon.

You could try taking it back to oob, then polish to a shine. That would let you get it down the lane and conserve energy better, so it would have a better move on the backend.

I would suggest taking it back to 4000 grit also. With the high flare layout you have, plus the pin down and sanded coverstock, the ball is most likely burning up early and rolling out. Polish would be the next step after trying 4000 grit. The Nano will definately hook if it is set up right for you.

Any time you have a ball with as strong of a core/cover combination as the Nano has you must make sure you are throwing it on enough oil. If there is not enough oil the ball will "burn up" or expend it's energy too soon and not hook. Dulling the cover just amplifies the situation. Take it back to factory finish and if it's still burning up add polish. Also the pin down layout is going to make the ball smoother off the spot
Still love the game but had to quit because of my left leg amptation

Ya that's strange.. The Nano is one of the most aggressive balls out there as I'm sure you know. Looks like you already got some good advice, I'd have suggested the same. Good luck!
