I have a Misfit, Reckless, Revenge (pin up), Revenge (pin down). Best thing I ever did, personally, was get rid of the over hyped Storm and Roto-Grip stuff and go with DV8. Hope you find what will work best for you.

yeah the dv8 hrr is a ball that is srong and hits the pocket like someone threw a granade down the lane just blows right threw them and makes alot of pin action

To slow the ball down try slowing your feet down. Your arm swing speed should naturally match the pace of your feet.

I was standing on 25-30 with my other balls (Mutant Cell, Victory Road) but with my Revenge drilled the same, I stand and laydown at 40, across the center arrow to the four board to the pocket. When the lanes dry up I go to my Reckless, same marks then eventually to my Misfit standing at 30

yeah ik how to slow the ball down by slowing my feet down but problem the ball still gose fast manly cause most of the time i put a front roation on it when the lanes are dryer and we bowl and wood lanes and the ball picks up more speed when it gose down the lane we put a speed tester on it and i was throwing at 15mph and when the ball hit the pins it was at 21mph, tell me thats messed up noone has ever seen that ever happen.

but know im at a roughly 40degrees axis roation soo know the speed dose help out cause the ball has one strong move into the pocket, but the pin action dose not go my way because 50% of the time when i got broocklin i leave the 5-10 and always the pinaction gets the 5 but never gets the 10, also off a slow shot as best as i can slow it down it still gives alot of pin action its like someone just threw a granade down the lane u can hear the ball hit the pins.

i have never threw storm or roto grip stuff and i would love too but not sure which ones to get the thing i want to do is test out all commpanys with close to same ball rating on the perfect scale and see which one works bets for me atm DV8 is top

With all Storm and Roto-Grip spend on marketing and such, yes, in my opinion, they are over-hyped. Compare price versus performance and see for yourself. They sell great equipment but you can get the same performance for less.

Once you go brooklyn the strike percentage naturally drops. 21mph at the pins is fine. 18-21mph is considered optimum although a high percentage of people lose too much accuracy at that speed. The bigger question is why you are going brooklyn 50% of the time.

yeah im planning on getting a new mid performace ball and going to take out of my bag my brother kinetic pearl witch dose not work for me at all unless i go streght up 15 board,

but back to topic i have been looking threw bowlingball.com finaly got it back where i cna load it up and looked threw all the advance perormance balls and theres alot of storm balls in there but not sure what type of ball i should get if i should go with a storm ball or if i should go with na c300 or dv8 or get another track ball not sure yet but i want to try out all brands and see how they all work and im also going to try to get as many bowling balls as i can to colect them and put them away when they retire soo i can keep the ball for a long time.

if anyone has any idea on what ball i should get thats mid performance/advanced performance then shut out some cause i got $230 to get one, the ball that are in my bag atm are c300 WD, c300 freeze, DV8 hell raiser revenge, and a crap track kinetic pearl(this ball is getting replaced).

also need to save some money soo i can get a new thumb slug for my freeze it seem to be shrinking and how i know once and awhile i cant fit my thumb in it but i cna fit my thumb in the hell raiser revenge and there the same size thumb slugs, cause every sunday when i bowl i always have to end up opening the thumb slug alot to get my thumb back int he ball on my freeze

It's unlikely the slug is shrinking, more likely is your thumb has swollen and/or gotten a little fatter.

Front Rotation? I think you mean Forward Roll, if not what do you mean by front rotation.

If its forward roll, you wouldn't want that for dryer lanes. That's would be more for oily lanes.

As for the ball speeding up, more likely its slowing down to 21mph. In general a ball will lose 3-4 mph going down the lane. So if your getting 21 at the pins your throwing at 24-25 mph of your hand.

Just how did they measure your speed? do the lanes have the built in speed sensor? or did they just calculate the speed using a stopwatch?
