bowl its forward roll srry could not think of the last word soo had to use something that was close to it but no its speeds up only on dryer lanes we used a speed monator cause i never throw over 16mph avg 15mph,

but the thumb slug is shrinking cause if my thumb was getting bigger then it should not fit in my hell rasier revenge and my thumb fits everytime but i also messured my thumb slug yesterday day and its shrunk 1/16 of a inch and that was messured earlyer soo im going to be taking that to my proshop guy to get that checked out but it could also be from the oil,

my track gose right ebside my thumb hole and fingers soo im going to have him take a look into it cause idk why i ahve to keep opening my thumb hole every week befor i bowl and my thumb rarely swells up soo im stuck on whats going on with it soo im not thorwing it this week,

last week my thumb fit perfectly in my Hell raiser revenge threw 6 games but my freeze only fit for 2 games and i had it openes bigger then the hell raiser revenge, hard to figure out whast going on there

Ok first lets make sure we are talking about the same thing.
A Thumb slug is a round solid piece of vinyl or urethane they hammer into a hole in the ball, then drill your thumb hole in.

See picture (Yours may be a different color.)

If this shrank it would pull away from the ball coverstock and be loose and likely come out. Plus it is unlikely that it's absorbing oil and expanding.

As for the ball going faster on dry lanes, I think your just throwing it faster to over come the dry lane and don't realize it.

ok i might be throwing it but ik i dont throw it as fast anymore cause i have never thrown the ball over 16mph cause when i do i lose all accuracy 16mph or 15mph is my best point for best accuacy and i stay consistant,

the thumb slug your showing is the same as mine and i jsut checked it a few minutes aog and my thumbs not goig into it and my thumb is back to normal sze and i had it opens to hen my thumbwas swellen soo im going to take it to my proshop guy to figure out whats going on with it

Well good luck, when your pro shop tells you why its shrinking come back and tell us.

even better are proshop guy came down to my league today too see how im doing with the hell raier revenge ad i talked to him about the freeze and whast going on with the thumb hole and he checked it out it seems to be getting moisture in it and making it exspand but he sead thats should not do it take fast, soo hes got my freeze and taking a look at it and he willg et back to him tomorrow if theres anything else

Moisture, okay must be from all that water they mix with the oil.

yeah thats what he was thinking but i have not thrown the freeze sicne last sunday soo we are guessing there some still in the ball moving around and going to the thumb but hes got it to take a a look at it, also did pretty good today in league with the hell raiser evenge took 6 out of 8 points.

Okay amazingly after asking around, I may have a answer for the ball speeding up.

Ball speeding up can occur - when you have a rev-dominant player, a flippy layout and a strong wet/dry condition.

Technically, the ball rotates in a different axis than its movement axis when it is released, skidding "forward" but rotating into a different direction.
Flare means axis migration towards the PSA - and when there's still a lot of rotational energy left once the ball is in its hook phase or its end, both energies are added together, which makes the ball speed up on the back end, making it look as if it would jump into the pins.
I have a fellow bowler in my club who plays this way - tons of revs, and if he tosses a strong reactive it either literally gtoes sideways or makes a final dash! Very impressive!

You said you have 400 or 500 revs so with a slow speed 15-16 mph, that makes you rev dominate. So this might be it.

thanks bowl that helps out alot but i might have mroe revs right now not sure my revs have just kicked up soo when i go to get my freeze and figure out if there is anything else problem with it i will get my rev rate checked cause ik my ball is reving more cause u use to ebable to see parts of the ball and know the hell raiser revenge jsut looks 1 colour,

im trying to find a pro bowler or someone on youtube that has clsoe to same revs as me too show you but i cant find oen eyt still got another 5000videos too look threw might take me awhile
