    Smile Getting ready to go

My Wednesday AM Doubles league starts in one hour (10:30AM EST). I know the bowling alley hasn't turned on their air conditioning yet so the place will be too warm. A bunch of people will be complaining about the heat, about having to bowl so early on a weekday AND about the fact that the lanes will be heavy with oil. But, you know what? I am happy as a clam. Why? Because I get to go bowling today. What a great game! I feel like I have been blessed with a second chance as I thought 17 years ago that my bowling days were over.

    Alright, let me at 'em.....

Well I started off really well on a tough shot with games of 207 and 214. I missed some very easy spares in those two games, though I did have a couple pocket 7-10s and a really bizarre 10 pin leave (though I picked the 10 pin). Just as I was getting ready to start game three (I was lined up and had a great shot going) I had a sugar attack and even though I fought it off, I was worthless the rest of the shift and ended up with a 162. Next time, I will eat before I go....stupid Atkins diet...

Are you a diabetic? I am, and I know that bowling can cause my sugar to crash. I usually have some kind of snack on hand, or at least a dollar in my bag just in case.

I am not a diabetic, fortunately. I am on the Adkins diet that I just started and need to careful about the glucose levels. My crash was my fault...
