Default about arm hurting after leauge

ok one of the people in my leauge its been for about 3 weeks know his arm is starting to hurt and he has never had this happen before and he has been bowling for years since he was 5 or 6 and he also has a clean throw with a perfect follow threw and are bowling coach and other people including my self can not figure out what is it.

i have checked his arm for any muscle tare or damage and nothing (i took a medical class in high school).

but if anyone has any ideas what this could be for making his arm hurt then i can talk tohim about it also he throws a 15lb ball and he throws between 13-15mph not sure fully

thanks for any replys that might help out

Could be a whole litany of things, even with perfect form and an effortless swing. Repetitive stress injuries can happen even with moderate physical activities.

And, it could be something unrelated to bowling that the motion of the game exacerbates. His age could be a factor, as we get older tendons and muscles shrink and connective tissue shortens; motions that are effortless in our youth can cause us pain as adults. Just the way it goes.

I have battled some arm and wrist pain from bowling over the years, and found that building muscles through working out helps, also proper stretching before and after bowling can stave off pains. A compression band on my forearm can alleviate stress from long sessions, too.

If he can't figure it out, he needs to see a doctor and find out if there's something going on or an issue he's not aware of.

Knowing exactly where the arm hurts would better help anyone pinpoint to what the problem is, but either way heading to the Doctor isn't such a bad idea.

yeah the pain is near his tryseps and in his forarm too but we where at a doctors after i could not figure it out and the doctors put him under a xray and did some tests for 5 hrs and they could not figure out whats wrong but they did say it might be a pulled mussle but not for sure cause he can move his arm easly and but he only ever gets the pain when he bowls and they sead it couldalso be maby from the weight of the ball might be doing it too so they want him to not bowl for the next 2 weeks then go abck and see if theres a problem if there is then go back and they will do more tests.

    Hi Guys,

The mechanics of the swing (back in the day) was a natural backswing and follow through, shake hands with the headpin.

With today's technology in equipment and MASSIVE amounts of lane conditioner some centers apply, it encourages crankin' the ball. Take's extra effort, and can hurt. As we age, we need to change the way we approach bowling as a recreation sport. Fineness and accuracy replace weight and power.

    My advice to your friend;
-have his ball checked for proper fit. Improper fit can cause pain.
-go to full grip if his ball is drilled fingertip. Old School.
-drop 1 lb in ball weight. 14 lb works just as good when you put it on target.
-wear a wrist brace. USBC rules allow it, use it. (keep your hand behind the ball, shake hands with the head pin)
    MOST IMPORTANT!
-SHOW UP EARLY. Stretch! Walk the entire concourse three or four times. Loosen the muscles up.
    -Relax and have fun.

Bowling should NOT hurt. The handicap system adjusts to any style/ability. That why we use it. Don't hurt yourself trying to score higher.
Coach says, find a comfortable predictable throw, to adjust change where to stand/start.

    Good luck and good bowling,

yeah thanks i will tell him this i printed it too show him this but he bowls streght up 10 sometimes 8 he dose not get much hook but his ball is fit perfectly for his hand he gets it adjusted every 2 months and also with a inproper fit on the ball will cause your hand and/or fingers, thumb to hurt not the arm cause the fingers will get pulled more then the arm.

also he dose throw a 14lb ball and hes able to throw a 15lb he just dose not want to throw it also im jsut degrading in weight down to a 15lb cause its easyer to get 14lb balls then 15lbs

I think adding a few commas and periods would go a long way, and that's really not very much extra work. I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, just providing a little constructive criticism. :P
