yeah defently swingset i would lvoe to get paid just to go to turnny and show off there stuff but in anycase i wouldmore perfer it to be storm unless brunswick makes a few extra good balls that can work on both dry and oil cause mostly i see then make matte and sanded balls onlya couple pollished balls and storm makes a even amount cause when they make a sanded or matte ball they will go and make a pollished ball right after

I don't think it is fair to right off the equipment just because they are good bowlers throwing them. Yes, Norm Duke and Pete Weber are amazing, and would probably be successful with any company. If you look at the young guys making a name for themselves, most of the guys making the show are throwing Storm or Roto. Maybe the best bowlers are throwing Storm because it is the best to throw. I think Chris Barnes is one of the best talents on the PBA, but I really think Columbia equipment lets him down. If he threw Storm, Ebonite, or Track I think he would win twice as often.

To the average joe, any ball drilled well will work. Lots of people think that whatever they throw is the best ball for them. As a person who drills balls from all companies, and sees them thrown in league and tournaments, I think it is easy to see which balls are better. Or look at the Sales report of the distributors. My February 2012 report from Complete Bowling Service shows the 5 balls that sold the most out of their warehouse. Ready for this? 1. Defiant (ROTO GRIP) 2. Frantic (STORM) 3. Taboo (HAMMER) 4. Crossroad (STORM) 5. Modern Marvel (STORM) I think that says a lot! I know not everyone will agree, and every company makes good balls sometimes. Storm makes the best balls and is the most consistent.

Also, just as a side note, Brunswick makes their balls in Mexico. So I recommend Storm/Roto Grip/Ebonite/Track/Hammer/Columbia/900 Global/Lane #1 who all make their balls in the United States.

Im not writing it off, and I agree that storm roto is the best out there right now, but I felt like the first post you made felt very much weaker than this second argument. Well played, I concede :P

There are no "bad" bowling balls per say, just bad match ups. Brunswick has been known for years as having a hook/set type reaction where as Storm has been known more as a skid/flip type reaction. An example of that perception was Storm's Invasion. A great ball but because it didn't go 45 feet and turn sideways people percieved it as a dud. Brunswick came out with the DV8 line because the colors and ball motion did not match up with their "image"
Still love the game but had to quit because of my left leg amptation

I have only been bowling for about a year and a half, and my first ball was the storm 2fast. I have bought several since, and will stick with them. C'mon if a bowling ball doesn't smell what's the use!! I just got the Vivid for my b-day and will be using it tomorrow night in league. I went from a 130 average last year, to a 175 currently and just bowled my first 704 (Marvel Pearl).

Even though they sponsor the most "pro bowlers", you still have to make it to the finals and Storm has the most!

but when is the last time he ever won anything? still an accomplishment to make as many shows as he does though... but you'd want to win one sooner or later.

That's on him not the equipment. I was just making a point. The Storm staff member pointed out how successful the Storm bowlers are and I was just saying Rash is making it on TV almost every event. He just lets his mental game get the best of him when he gets on TV.

Sean Rash's Mental game is definately the issue. You nailed that one on the head. Also, it definately is not his equipment. The Nexus line is the first line Brunswick has made in multiple years that I actually recommend to people. As a storm staffer, that says a lot.

As for the skid/flip reaction from storm. Although, that used to be the case, they do make a lot of early, heavy rolling balls. Take the Reign of Fire, Marvel, Invasion, Virtual Gravity Nano, Double Agent, and a decent amount more. The reason why people still think that skid/flip is their reaction is because their balls keep hooking through the pins. My Reign of Fire would start hooking at 25 feet, and could still crush a pocket hard enough to leave a 9 pin. Storm has a full arsenal of balls with many different reaction shapes and strengths. The reason the Invasion didn't go over well is because the economy switched people to buying cheaper equipment, and the Invasion didn't have enough success on TV to inspire people to purchase it. It had a bit of an over/under issue with it's reaction, and the Reign Line that was out at the same time was better for most people for $70 less. Not because it rolled heavy.
