Default Pulling the Ball video help

even though this vid shows that i threw it in the pocket, im really un-happy with how i've been bowling lately, dropped from 228 to 223 in the past month because 3x a game i'll pull it through the nose.

if i take 13 steps and just push and throw at the line i'll hit my mark everytime, but when i try to speed it up into a full approach it's terrible.

i think i need to keep my elbow in but how do i go about doing that?

A little longer video, with a few more shots of you throwing would help.

First from the little I can see, stay behind the ball, your turning your hand and thus the ball toward your body when you start your swing. This is moving your elbow away from your body and is making your back swing go out toward the left more than it should to get around your hips. This can cause your swing to head toward the inside instead of projecting outward.

An 8 second vid of a shot that's in the pocket isn't enough for me to give you any real help. A local coach will be much more help in getting your swing closer to your body. In the video it doesn't look all that bad.

Personally, my accuracy seems most affected by timing. Sometimes my feet get ahead and I pull to compensate. Other times I release late which also seems to send the ball high.

    Ok i uploaded more videos.

I def have noticed by slowing the vids down and analyzing that it does feel that my swing is pretty good up until it tries to get around my hips, during my "on fire" times when i'm avg 240 in the month i just know my swing is closer to the ankle and feels effortless.

here are more vids w/ another angle.

Ok, I don't know if this will help with your pulling problem, maybe it will, maybe it won't.. But what I'm noticing is, you are starting with your ball real low.. The problem with that is, you move your ball slightly forward before you decide to bring it back, my question would be -- Why do this? I myself was noticing myself doing this about 3 weeks ago and asked myself the same question and proceeded to fix it. If you want your arm to go back when you start your swing.. So why put the extra step of moving forward.

    How to fix it:

Very easy.. Just place your ball to the spot you were moving it forward to... and instead of moving forward, just let it go back. The higher you start the ball, the more speed you should ultimately have. Just extend your arm(s) and let it fall instead of pushing forward and letting it fall back down.

All of this is just my advice and if its a way you are comfortable bowling, then by all means, continue bowling that way. It was just something I noticed that may help you out. Good luck

i have toyed with diff positions, i had it real high and straight, its something that i'll mess with again, the vid of the "good shot" is actually with my arm at almost chest level to start and my elbow almost straight, but sometimes it felt like i lost the ball in the swing and had no feel, so i lowered it back down.

i think what im going to do is when i push the ball away im going to "act" as if my hand is turned to the totally opposite direction so my suitcase will turn to a straight behind the ball and may help w/ my elbow popping out a bit.
