    Default Bigger Ball Size

    Should bowling ball manufactuers 20 pounds balls, i think they could because there will be more power in balls. Tell me what you think

    They should not because the maximum allowable weight under the rules is 16 lbs
    Still love the game but had to quit because of my left leg amptation

    I would bet the core would be so large the ball would be less able to match with balls in the 15lb range same model. Maybe a more dense material would work with a heavier filler. Then, you have to deal with paying extra for that materia.l pro shops would charge more because the bits wear faster. back end of alleys can't handle the extra abuse or jam from weight.

    Making the ball heavier wouldn't necessarly make it better. The increase in weight would reduce the deflection of the ball. This might have helped back in the old days, but with the high tech cores and coverstocks of today. They have increased the power and almost reduced the deflection too much.

    Like when you hear bowlers say the balls are hitting too hard, a lot of the time that means it's not deflecting enough. The balls are over driving and blasting through the pins, leaving things like the 4-9 split or tapping a 9. The ball didn't deflect properly.

    So Reducing the deflection would cause more problems than it helped.

    yeah and plus who would throw a 20lb ball anyways and i agree with bowl and stormed 16lb is good enoph cause theres no point on making a ball heaver noone will beable to throw it like they do and also they would get hurt abit
