Here's a question though, Right now I throw an ebonite lanebreaker. http://www.bowlingball.com/products/...html?lf=search I find that I have a few issues on fresh oil and was looking for something to use before it to burn up the oil. Do you think this manic could do the job, or should I look into something higher end? I average just about 160.

I have medium ball speed and revs too...forgot to add that before and I always forget I cant edit.

Hey, my Lanebreaker is my benchmark ball. You can get a new ball, or change the surface on an existing ball. If you're looking to build area by removing oil you really just need something dull. I upshell from the Lanebreaker with my Rogue Cell or Elite Insanity. I shell down with my Slingshot. It's nice to have my own spinner, I can play to my heart's content.

Don't get me wrong, I love the thing, I was just looking to see if this was a good way to go if I found I need to go a little more ball until the lanes burn down. I have no such ball spinner so I cant really mess with it. I actually like it the way it is anyway, just looking to build an arsenal I guess :P

The Manic, Vivid would work well on fresh oil. The DV8 Reckless or Too Reckless would also work well. Search on bowlingball.com utilizing the perfect scale. Balls rated at around 170-195 would probably work well for you given your speed and rev rate. If you have a good, certified pro shop that you can get to, ask them to watch you bowl and make a recommendation. Let me know what you decide to go with. I would caution against going with too strong a ball. One designed for heavy oil would typically be too strong for a house shot. I now have three balls that I can't even use around here. I ordered a Storm Natural Pearl today for the third game or earlier if I chose to take the pattern right out of the equation.
