Hi all, I'm Danny. First off I am a loud and proud Lefty! I am currently 23, and I used to bowl in youth leagues til i was about 12-13, then i stopped bowling through out high school and college. Since I started hanging with a couple coworkers back in november, who bowl league, I've really gotten into bowling again. I even plan on joining 2 leagues over the summer.

About 3 months ago I bought my first ball, an 15lb Ebonite Cyclone, and since my average has jumped from a 130 game to 150-160 game. I can say though I have a horrid time adjusting to pick up that pesky 7 pin though. My personal highest game was 226 about 2 months ago, and sadly since i've only seen 1 other 200 game.

I would love to get the chance see how a freshly oiled lane effects my game though. As of right now I only bowl about 5 games a night during the 2 times a week at the ally during their special deals ($5 entry .25c games, .50c beers!!) and its always right after leagues end (9:30pm).

edit: I'm not sure how useful this info is, but i usually throw around 12-13mph, although for some reason the last couple of sessions I've been hitting 15-16mph.

Hello Danny and welcome aboard. I like lefties, they don't screw with my line lol
Maybe the speed increase is just getting use to bowling again? 15-16 should get you more carry than the lower speeds

Welcome dude!! I was in the same boat you were in, didn't bowl much during high school and college now I'm back bowling on a regular basis. Just didn't have the time (or the money)! Lots of good advice around here to get you from that 150-160 range to that 180-190 range. Keep working at it!! Welcome again!
