    Default Bowling Ball Characteristics

I recently started bowling and am trying to build an arsenal, I understand that some balls are designed to do different things (hook early, hook late, etc.). Therefore, in order to choose the correct balls for me, I want to understand the characteristics of my current and potential balls.

    Current Arsenal
A Storm Virtual Gravity NANO drilled with the pin drilled just above the middle finger
A Brunswick C (System) Alpha Max drilled with the pin just below the middle finger
An Ebonite Tornado drilled with the pin drilled just above the middle finger
And a Brunswick T-Zone that I use for spares (Obviously, this goes straight and is therefore not worth discussing).

    Potential Additions To My Arsenal
    Brunswick Slingshot
    Storm Tropical Heat Hybrid
    Roto Grip Rising Star
    Storm Crossroad
    Storm Frantic
    Roto Grip Outlaw

    Thanks,
    Casey

I would have a pro shop measure your PAP. Also it would be good to get an idea of your ball speed, and axis tilt. It looks like your initial arsenal might have been drilled with the pin positioned above and below your middle finger because you've just started bowling. You might want to do that before choosing a new ball. Generally speaking the VG Nano and Alpha Max are both strong balls meant for heavier conditions. You would probably want something a step below for medium conditions. The Crossroad and Frantic would fit that slot. The other balls on your list could be used for light medium conditions.
    Style: Power Stroker/Tweener - 16.5 - 17.5 mph, PAP 4 1/2 x 0

    In the bags:
    Retooled with 15 lb equipment.

In the Bag: Radical Ludicrous, 900Global Honey Badger Claw, 900Global Honey Badger, DV8 spareball

In the Bullpen : Radical Quick Fix, Radical Katana

The archives: Ebonite Grey Wolf (first 300), Red Wolf (first 700). Just can't let them go.
