Default looking for a ball upgrade any ideas for what i should get ?

hey how are you guys i haven't been on here in awhile, and was just wondering if you guys had any ideas on ball upgrades for myself. Right now ive been bowling with a ebonite cyclone and its been coming along very well. Ive ben getting the han gof hooking more and more everyday and finding my pocket every time with the ball. Ive had the ball since it came out and was kind of looking for another ball to add the the arsenal. any ideas of a ball upgrade i should get ? i was thinking maybe the Track 505c as a upgrade and others i should look at?

If you are looking to stay with the Ebonite brand then there are several good ball choices
to choose from your Cyclone is rated at a 167.2 hook potential so if you are looking for a
little more hook then what it has then here are a few good choices to choose from.

starting from low to high hook rating

    1. Ebonite Elevate 182.20 hook rating
    2. Ebonite Game Changer 182.70 hook rating
    3. Ebonite Warning Sign 188.70 hook rating
    4. Ebonite Signals 199.70 hook rating
    5. Ebonite Mission X 208.70 hook rating
    6. Ebonite Pursuit-S 212.40 hook rating

But you could always go with another brand that has even more hook potential if so desired.

You have some decisions to make such as brand, what you want the ball to do (besides strike) on what conditions, etc. It's hectic but a blast!

With no knowledge of your bowling style, I will give you advice instead of options. Stick with a symetrical core ball for now. Pro shop guys may try to talk you into a Nano, Nexus, Defiant, but don't let them. You are better to stick with a mid performance ball. The Track 505C is in that ball park, but you have probably 20 balls that are in that ball park too. If you want to post what kind of bowler you are, and what kind of lane conditions you bowl on, we will be better at giving advice. Without that info I will just say Storm Crossroad, because everyone that I have drilled one for loves it, and I own two already. It is the most versitile ball for house shots I own.

hey sorry im some what of a stroker and tweener really in between if that makes sense lol, i average about 175. ive got all my basic movements down and positioning. and i've been learning for about a year now. my rev rate is high sometimes and low on other days just depends how i want to play when i practice and what not. i am not part of a league but want to join one very soon at my local AMF. right now i have a Ebonite Cyclone which is doing the job right now and an OLD AMF Bobcat but ive wanted to add another ball to the list. i havent really thought about staying with a particular brand, i love the cyclone and ebonite has been treating me well but im also up to using other brands and trying out whatever. friend of mine who is a exceptional bowler bowls on a underground league here in NY and has told me that Track is a VERY good brand with great choices. and he told me to look at the Track 505c and said it would be a great ball for me as an upgrade from the cyclone. problem is....they dont sell the 505c anymore anywhere

ps - i really would like a ball that is a great upgrade from the cyclone ( whichever brand ball ) that will give me a nice hook, length and control...if thats posible i am alos still learning tho everyday and trying to get my hook packed down as well but dont want something that has no hook at all so when i do get better i wont have to change balls again.

I just recently won this ball in a raffle (best 3 bucks I spent that day) and the ball is a beast. I had to completely change my typical throw just to keep in from crossing the lane and hitting the ditch. I let one of my friends (a non bowler) throw it during midnight bowling and the ball was hooking for him.

Balls that would be a nice step up frimthe Cyclone are numerous out there. Sorm Frantic and Crossroads sre good choices. Te Hammer Arson or Rythem are another couple. The Motiv QZ2 Backdraft would be another As was stated above I would suggest staying with a symetrical cored ball
Still love the game but had to quit because of my left leg amptation

I was just wondering, the house I typically bowl in is on the medium side, I stand between the middle and first right dot and throw it at the second arrow. I'm using an ebonite lanebreaker now, and I was gonna step up to a little higher performace ball. Heres the specs for what I have now http://www.bowlingball.com/products/...html?lf=search. I guess I want to know how much more ball the cross road will be? Will the 20ish pts on the perfect scale be a big enough step up, or should I go a little higher and get a marvel pearl or Modern Marvel? I'm open to other suggestions too, but I was just wondering. I have average revs and somewhere between 12-15 mph. I am able to make hand adjustments, so I'm thinking I want to stay with a symmetrical core, and I average 169.
