Default balance hole hook question and advice needed

about me ... new to bowling and just joined a league about 9 months ago with some friends who got me into the sport. I love it and already purchased 3 balls lol.
im a 2 finger cranker with medium speed and hi revs and for my spares i bowl streight with 3 fingers. I average 153 and i have most improved player on my 21 team league in the bag. The balls i use are....

    dv8 hell raiser revenge
    brunswick massive damage
    pyramid path (spare ball)

    MY ISSUES
the dv8 hrr is WAY to aggressive for me and im practically in the lane next to me getting jerseys. Im thinking of selling the ball or just having it finished to hook less (it just sits home).
Im currently using the massive damage and its working well for me but id like it to ho0k just a little bit more. All of my balls are 14lbs (15 starts to bother my wrist on my strike balls) should i get a balance hole to increase the hook? or will that affect pin deflection considering the ball is already fairly light at 14lbs? i want more hook but i dont want to lose the strong hits inside the pocket. (i already had the massive damage sanded at a pro shop to bite the lanes more)Balance hole a good idea? What should i do with my hrr? I cant buy another ball my wife would kill me lol

I polished mt HRR. I used abralon pads and sanded it with 2000 then 4000. After that I added 7 coats of Brunswick rough buff polish. It still hooks like crazy but goes a lot further down the lane before doing so. As for the balance hole; it shouldn't allow more deflection however, if it isn't in the correct spot it will only be a waste of money.

Mo Pinel wrote an article about this subject, here's the link to it. http://www.morichbowling.com/Educati...alanceHole.htm I'm sure you can find other articles on bowlingball.com, and other sites.

Any pro shop SHOULD do it properly but WILL they?! Since learning more about balls and there respective drilling I have found that most drillers are not up to date on a lot of techniques. Isn't Brad Angelo from Long Island? Reason I ask is I would find a pro in the area on facebook or wherever and ask them. Given your area there will be as many wannabes as real capable drillers.

Etrain, find a reputable pro shop, and have them locate your positive axis point. They are like elbows, everybody has one whether you use your thumb or not. After this info is found, have them knock a hole about 1 inch in diameter and about 2 and a half inches deep a couple inches below your pap on the vertical axis line. This will help the ball flare more which will increase the hook potential of the ball. Putting a hole above your pap has the opposite effect. The ball will flare less, therefore hook less. Try this on your Hell Raiser if polishing it doesn't tame it down enough.

Go to his Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Brad-Angelo/116423564878 and ask who he would recommend in your area.

My friend Jeff, who has had a lot of hand / wrist problems and worked with the pro shop at Garden City, LI to come up with a drilling pattern that lets him bowl a PBA block of games without being crippled for the rest of the week.
