THE DUDE IS BACK!

225, 257, 239 (721 series) today using my Vivid. If I had bowled that yesterday in singles, I'd have got first. I'm kicking myself for not using the Vivid yesterday. I think my practice session last night helped a lot too.

We got 4th place and they only paid the top 3! One of our teammates who averages 215 or so, had a 136 his first game! 4 or 5 splits, two pocket 7-10 splits. He finished with a 230 and 278. If he'd have done something even close to that his first game, we'd have got first. I'm not BLAMING him though, absolutely not. We all have bad days, and bad games. You saw how I did yesterday!

I joined 4 brackets today though, and won one and got 2nd in another. So I did get a little money back. I'm just happy to have redeemed myself today, and I'm ready to start another hot streak.

Well, I went up to practice with Mike and his wife tonight... (Yeah I know, I bowl all the time! 40 games in the last 4 days) and I used the DV8 Too Reckless the whole time, just trying to get used to it.. Boy was I ever on FIRE. Scores were 200, 231, 220, 215, 266, 237, 270, 257 (237 AVG) I even had 16 strikes in a row at one point! Closed out the 270 game with 9 straight, started the 257 with 7 straight. Mike was ALSO on fire. He shot another 279. That's his third in the last week and a half I believe. Also shot 240's and 230's as well. He even had 12 strikes in a row at one point! He is really becoming a good bowler now. I know how much he likes those new VISE IT grips.

I know it's only one day, but I think I'm out of my week long slump now.

First, I'm glad to hear you had a good day bowling. Second, what ball did you use yesterday if not the tried and true Vivid? Maybe part of yesterday was the wrong condition for the ball?

Lets not forget Cup-Cake!!! She had some great games for a 150 average, she had 156, 162, 184, 167!! Dude, Joyce and me, bowl great together!!! I am not sure what the magic is,,,,,,,,(((buts its there!!)))
Before I get too old to bowl maybe we will have the chance to try that magic out on a league together!
The 3 Amigo’s!!! It will be interesting to see if Jason, and myself can carry on what has been happening this last two weeks.
League Tuesday is a Bunch of Top Gun bowlers,,, 220 ‘s and up! I had a great series last week, 900, 225 average, and on that league my average was 196, so I think I will be close to 200 starting this Tuesday!
WE beat the team that was in first place 3 out of 5! Just Iceman, and Cup-Cake!!!
That helped Jason/Dude’s team to be in a tie for first now!!
The ball spinner, and twist grips, has make a HUGE DIFFERENCE in all aspects of the game. I think Jason is thinking about getting a spinner for himself! I think as has arsenal grows, ,,,, it’s not a bad idea!!
I know mine has been a very important part of my average going in the right direction! I hope to have a 220 by the end of this league!! ((((but would settle for a 215, since time is running out!
Jason, ( I mean the Dude), what can I say!!!!!!!!!!! He is coming into being one of THE TOP GUNS in the Northland,,,,,,,, If he keeps it up,,,, he might even pass Iceman!!! LOL…() OOO I think he alreay has LOL!!
I think you could call Dude “ MR. July!!” He has set off the fireworks, in several alleys, and they now have a Fire truck on call out side whenever he bowls!
He doesn’t knock the pins down,,,,,, he utterly DESTROYS THEM!!! Its almost as awesome as watching me!!!!! LOL
Ok,,,, Mr Dude,,, You had a bad Friday,,,,,,, I cut you some slack ,,,, I understand when a bad day happens! We are now 5 and 5 in victories!
This Friday, lets have our own 13 of July fireworks!!! I might even film it in letter box, HD, with my new camera!!
I have gotten permission from the insurance companies at the Vivion AMF, and the Fire Department said they would have a pump on hand! To cover all bases I even have a ambulance on call!!
3 games, ICEMAN, and the dude!! No matter what the scores,,, they will be posted and Shown in HD!

Yesterday I started with the Too Reckless... Wasn't working too well. Then went to the NeXXus.. It wasn't too bad... had a good line to the pocket, but wanted something that would hopefully make me do even better. So I took out Jeff's ball, the Virtual Energy.. BAD IDEA. I had some good shots with it, but the line was just too tight. So I went back to the NeXXus for the rest of the day. In hindsight, I obviously should have used the Vivid. Days like this give me more trust in that ball. It'll be the first out of the bag for the next tournament now.
