If we're talking bowling then small fish in big pond. to enjoy all there is to offer about the sport. However i can see the fun in being the best bowler at one alley/region.
I prefer to be a small fish in a big pond. I like to get better and one way to do that is to watch and ask questions of those who are better.

Big fish you are a target, small fish no one gives a rats rear end so I prefer to be the owner of a big pond where I have control of both fish and the fisherman!
