You will be surprised how quickly the rust will come off. I think we all have bad days, just makes me want to get out there more to put it behind me
Well, that sucked. I am further out of shape than I thought. I could not hit my mark. I could not get the ball far enough to the right. I was missing by about 15 boards. I had to turn my body in order to hit the mark. Also, the lane was bone dry. I was going to check my track in order to estimate where my PAP is. There was nothing on my ball.
Even if there was some oil on the lane, I'm not sure I was throwing consistent enough to have a track to find my PAP with. I was expecting to be rusty, but wow.
Oh yeah, my scores. I need to update the lowest score thread. My new low score is 60. My 7 year old beat me. I actually had a couple of spares in game 2, finishing with a 104. A 2 game series of 164. Wow. I have some work to do.

I know it will. I was just surprised that there is so much rust. I'm just going to work on it this summer and join a league in the fall.

Rust, pinched nerve and dry lanes. That's a lot to try and overcome after such a long layoff. One thing that may have hindered you getting your ball out is the dry lanes. The ball probably started hooking to early and couldn't skid out towards the breakppoint. It can be real tough to gauge on super dry lanes.

The pinched nerve did not bother me at all. In fact, it feels better now than it has in weeks. I think you are right about the dry lanes. I've never seen lanes that dry before. The Maxim was hooking off the lane. Hopefully we will have better conditions next week.

Had a much better week. There was a hint of oil on the lanes, but not enough for the Tiger. I put it away after the first frame. It took a little while to find the pocket. I'm still having trouble hitting my mark, but I was much more consistent this week. My scores still weren't great (118 and 147), but a huge improvement over last week. My daughter also improved. I taught her a 4 step approach, and she is getting used to it. She scored a 69 and a 94. My wife got a 102 and a 99. I love our family fun night!

As long as everyone is having fun the improvements will come for all. Be careful, it won't be long before both your wife and daughter will be out scoring you.
