How long do Abralon pads last?

They last more than one time.

There's no set life for them it, if you use them dry they load up fast , if you wet sand they will last a lot longer. It also depends on coverstock types, how much pressure you apply etc.

According to Ebonite their pads at the factory can do approx. 70 bowling balls. But they use lots and lots water to lubricate during sanding.

Remember those 70 balls was at the ebonite factory, with the pads in the sanding machines they use. With continous water flow. They might not last that long in home use.

as long as i have continous water flow it should last that long right?? but which spinner other than the built in ones can have water flowing through them..

Light pressure and about 15 seconds per side,is about all that is really needed to do a good job. A lot of users say that about 5-6 balls is what you can do before the grit starts to change.

Tub mounts are the ones that you can use running water with.

Those that use the table top models , use a spray bottle and/or you can also dunk the pad in a bucket of water.
